We work as a facilitator. That word is doing specific work here, so it is worth defining precisely.

A facilitator organizes the things around care: framing a first enquiry so the answers come back comparable, finding a stay that matches the confirmed appointment address, arranging airport transfers and language support, and translating between what a traveler is asking and what a Korean provider actually needs to know.

A facilitator does not practice medicine, does not decide whether a procedure suits you, and does not take clinical responsibility. That belongs to the licensed institution that examines you. We are based in Mapo-gu, in western Seoul, and we answer in English and Korean.

What this site is

Korea Skin Tour is an independent planning resource and enquiry service for people organizing a skin-care trip to Korea. It handles the parts around the medical appointment: choosing a stay near the confirmed clinic address, planning airport transfers, arranging language support, and preparing a first clinic enquiry that does not overshare personal data.

What it does:

What it does not do:

Every medical decision belongs to a licensed physician who has examined you in person. Every booking is confirmed by the responsible provider, not by this site.

How the guides are written

  1. Primary sources first. Where a rule exists in law or on a government site, the guide links the statute or the agency page rather than another blog. Current sources include the Korean Law Information Center, the National Tax Service, the Health Insurance Review and Assessment Service, Medical Korea, K-ETA, the Korea Tourism Organization, the American Society of Plastic Surgeons, the US Department of State and US Customs and Border Protection.
  2. Dated review. Each guide shows when its sources were last checked. That is a statement about when it was verified, not a promise that the rule has not changed since.
  3. Disputed facts are labeled as disputed. When English-language sources disagree with the Korean statute, the guide says so and points at the statute. The 2026 change to the cosmetic-procedure VAT refund is the clearest current example: much of the English web still tells travelers to expect a 10% refund that the current law no longer provides.
  4. Corrections are welcome. If something here is wrong or out of date, email ceo@clinics-korea.com with the source. It will be corrected and the review date updated.

How this site makes money

Right now: it does not. There is no active affiliate relationship, no paid placement, and no sponsored content on these pages at launch.

When that changes, three rules apply:

Relationship with Clinics Korea. Korea Skin Tour and Clinics Korea are operated by the same business, Clinics-Korea.com, and share an enquiry address. This is not two independent sites reviewing each other.

The two sites are separated by function, not by ownership:

Clinics Korea may receive referral compensation from a partner clinic where disclosed on its clinic page. That compensation never changes registration evidence, medical suitability, or the final price you are quoted. Neither site takes an online payment on these public paths.

Privacy in practice

The first enquiry is deliberately low-data. The email draft this site prepares contains logistics only: broad interest, approximate dates, area and language.

It never asks for, and you should never send in a first message:

Ordinary email is not a secure medical channel. HIPAA does not apply to Korean clinics or to this site. Korea's own privacy framework does apply to us. If a provider later needs clinical information, they should tell you which secure channel to use.

We do not use browsing analytics or advertising trackers. We do not set application cookies or run analytics. Our hosting provider may set a Cloudflare security cookie (__cf_bm) to distinguish automated traffic. The hosting provider processes technical traffic data for security. We receive your enquiry only if you choose to email us. Full detail on the privacy page.
